Recently, ShapeUp teamed up with Virgin Pulse to create the largest, most comprehensive, and fun well-being program in the nation. Together, we are proud to be bringing you a new and exciting program on March 1st!

On the Pulse platform, you will be able to-

  • Register for your Virgin Pulse account.
  • Download the Virgin Pulse mobile app for IOS and Android. Plus, the first time you log in you’ll earn bonus points!
  • Track your healthy activities, like getting fit, eating better, staying hydrated, sleeping enough, and more!
  • Check in by taking health measurements like weight and blood pressure.
  • Take part in challenges with friends, discover healthy tips, and more.
  • Get rewards for the healthy things you do!

Make sure you are “In It to Win It”!!

For each quarter there are now FOUR ways to win:

Step-Based Challenge Prizes:

District Winner

The district with the highest percentage of participation in each quarterly core challenge will win the First Place prize of $1500 for their education fund.

There will also be a second ($750) and third ($500) place prize for the runners up.

Individual Winner

The top three individual participants who log the most steps in a challenge will receive PulseCash in the amount of $150 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place. Pulse Cash can be redeemed in the Virgin Pulse online store, where participants can choose their own gift card, or purchase any of the following fitness-related material:

  • Fitness tracking devices
  • Fitness tracker accessories (wristbands, etc.)
  • Home healthcare solutions (scale and blood pressure readers)
  • Fitness and training equipment (yoga mats, water bottles, headphones jump ropes, etc)

Team Winner

The team who logs the most steps over the course of a challenge will receive $1,000 to be donated to the charity of their choice.

Point-Based Raffle Prize

Participants will have the chance to earn5raffle entries over the course of each quarter.The more you participate on the platform, the more points you earn, and the more chances you will have to win the raffle prize. You will receive 1 raffle entry per point-based level achievement, and 1 additional raffle entry by enrolling in the quarterly core challenge. At the end of each quarter, in between challenges, one winner will be randomly selected. The prize will change each quarter. The raffle prize for the first quarter isA Fitbit Watch!!! The first winner will be announced on July 1st!

If you are not able to participate in physical activity due to pregnancy, injury or physical limitations, please call Virgin Pulse support number at (888) 671-9395 from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Friday for program modifications.

Where do I sign up?

    1. Go to http://join.virginpulse.com/TheLanceGroup
    2. Click the SIGN ME UP button
    3. Fill out the resulting registration form by entering your details, selecting a password for yourself and agreeing to Virgin Pulse’s Membership Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Data Consent form.If at any point you are prompted to enter an “Employee ID” please use your work e-mail address for that field.
    4. Click LET’S GET STARTED
    5. Once you have registered for the platform in a browser, you can visit the App Store on your cell phone to download the FREE Virgin Pulse app which also has activity tracking capabilities!

To purchase a MAX Activity Tracker:

  1. Sign into your Virgin Pulse account.
  2. Mouse over the My Profile button on the homepage (i.e. the button that includes your profile picture), and click the Store link in the resulting drop-down menu.
  3. Click on Fitness Tracking Devices and scroll down to find the Max Activity Tracker
  4. Click the Buy Now link, click Go to Cart, and follow the prompts to complete the transaction.

Rebecca has been a stand-out participant each challenge and we asked her for some feedback on her experience with the program so far…

What gets you motivated about the program?

Fitness has become a passion of mine a number of years ago.  Having the opportunity to compete with my peers and help try to donate to a charity while maintaining my routine makes the program fun to use and easy to keep using.

 

What do you think is the best part about the program?

It really is something everyone can enjoy.  Whether you’re just interested in logging steps or using it to look up recipes, or if you want to compete on a team for your district the program allows for every level of commitment.  The chance to win individual raffles and prizes also makes it something worthwhile for everyone to participate in.

 

What are your coworkers saying about the program?

One of the things our business office was most excited about was the ability to track with different devices.  A few of us already have been tracking our steps with other devices and it is great that the program integrates with FitBits for people who already use them.
